Les missions
A conductor within his team, he works for the continuous improvement of the product or service by making the link between the needs of users and the goals of the company.
He promotes his vision to customers but also internally in order to unite the various teams around a common project. The Product Manager starts by defining a strategic vision of the product: what will be its use, its price, who will use it? It must be well aware of the habits of its future users and anticipate their possible reticence. He is already thinking about communication and advertising around the product, while keeping in mind the technical constraints and the timetable to be respected.
At the end of this first phase, he establishes a road map and selects the indicators that will allow him to measure the performance of the product. Once the product or service is launched, it is in charge of monitoring operations and analyzing uses using the data collected. He is ready to change course at any time and finds solutions with the developers, testers, and designers on his team. Its aim is to offer even more value to the end user, in order to increase their engagement with the service or the brand.
To be effective, the Product Manager must listen to users, whether directly or via customer satisfaction teams (account manager, customer success manager).
